Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our care team. The LPN works under RN direction and functions within the LPN scope of practice to provide age-appropriate, high-quality care.

You will perform routine nursing procedures, assist during treatments, coordinate tests and follow-up care, document in the medical record, and participate in education for patients and families. Local travel and occasional float duties within Cobb Hospital sites required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Healthcare experience preferred, oncology experience preferred.
• All certifications required upon hire unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Document treatments and coordinate care with the team.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Participate in staff education and ongoing education.
• Float to Cobb Hospital sites as needed and within 35 miles.
