Job summary

Wellstar Health System in Georgia is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide patient care under RN supervision in an oncology setting. You will assist with exams, treatments, and coordinating tests and follow-up care.

You will document care, support education for patients and families, and participate in staff education. Local travel is required; all sites are within 35 miles of Cobb Hospital. Day shift opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; nursing certificate as applicable.
• LPN license required or eligible for licensure in Georgia.
• BLS certification required at hire or by start date.
• Oncology/ambulatory care experience preferred.
• Georgia driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision using nursing process.
• Perform routine nursing procedures per physician orders.
• Meet established productivity standards.
• Demonstrate sterile technique and port care as needed.
• Administer medications within LPN scope and document in medical records.
• Attend staff meetings, in-services, and participate in ongoing education.
