Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a part-time day-shift role at Cobb Hospital area. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, prepare patients for exams, and coordinate tests and follow-up care while documenting in the medical record.

The ideal candidate has an LPN license, BLS, and prior healthcare experience; oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED General or Other / Certificate Nursing
• LPN license required at hire; BLS certification required
• Previous healthcare experience; oncology experience preferred
• Positive leadership, problem solving, organization and communication skills
• Reliable transportation and a GA driver's license; scheduling flexibility

Responsibilities

• Assesses and assists with managing patients' total needs under RN oversight
• Performs routine nursing procedures under supervision of RN
• Meets productivity standards and follows nursing process
• Demonstrates sterile technique for ports and medication administration
• Coordinates care with RN and healthcare team; documents care accurately
• Educates patients and families; participates in staff education and meetings
• Maintains regulatory documentation and triage communications
