Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Technology or related science field, Bachelors degree preferred.
• Minimum five years experience in laboratory testing.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required.
• Current state licensure if required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as working general supervisor for the laboratory and oversees routine tests.
• Supervises laboratory personnel including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
• Establishes and monitors quality assurance, quality control, and proficiency testing programs.
• Writes and maintains test procedures and evaluates new testing methods.
• Reviews patient test results and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensures safety standards and OSHA regulations are followed.
