Job summary

Texas Oncology is seeking a Lab Supervisor for the Dallas Sammons Cancer Center. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with no weekends, on-site at the Dallas location.

The Lab Supervisor will oversee lab operations, ensure accurate testing, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards while supporting patient care and workflow efficiency at our largest community oncology provider in Texas.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Medical Technology or related science field required.
• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum five years experience in laboratory testing.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required.
• Current state licensure if required; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Acts as working general supervisor for the laboratory.
• Supervises laboratory personnel; interviews, hires, trains and evaluates staff.
• Establishes quality assurance, quality control and proficiency testing policies.
• Writes and maintains test procedures and manuals.
• Reviews patient test results and ensures proper corrective actions.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal laboratory regulations.
• Manages supplies, equipment, and cost analysis for major purchases.
• Interfaces with nursing and clerical teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintains a safe, clean, compliant work environment.
