Job summary

Texas Oncology Round Rock is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture) to join our team. This full-time role supports Round Rock location with alternating 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and 8:30 AM–5:00 PM shifts, Monday through Friday, no weekends or major holidays.

The ideal candidate may be level 1, 2 or Sr based on experience, with a fast-paced clinic admixture environment and opportunities to grow clinically. Training and collaboration with pharmacists ensure safe, accurate patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Entry-level experience in a pharmacy.
• IV sterile compounding experience highly preferred.
• I.V. certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of medication orders by compounding or admixing under supervision.
• Check all orders for completeness and verify patient information and physician authorization.
• Admix drugs as ordered by a physician, adhering to guidelines.
• Calculate correct dosage volumes and unit conversions.
• Assist in controlled substance record keeping per regulations.
• Dispose of materials used in mixing per guidelines and laws.
• Clean hoods daily and check drugs for outdates; perform QA tasks.
• Maintain temperature logs and protocol/patient assistance drug logs.
• Manage inventory, including lot numbers and expiration dating.
• Support medication use continuum: labeling, data entry, pre-billing review, ordering meds and supplies.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of admixture area and pharmacy.
