Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.

• ER-specific: ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• Pediatric ER: PALS and TNCC within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to acutely ill patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation).
• Interact with patients, families and health team while upholding ANA standards.
• Collect and analyze data, develop, implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Direct care and coordinate use of nursing assistants as needed.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians and staff; document plans and communications.
• Participate in shared governance, committees and unit projects.
• Evaluate and document patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Apply evidence-based practice and research findings to guide care decisions.
