Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine seeks an Oncology Registered Nurse to join the infusion unit, providing direct oncology care, administering chemotherapy and related therapies, and monitoring patient responses.

The role requires active RN license, BLS and ACLS on hire, with at least one year in oncology. You will educate patients and collaborate with the care team to coordinate treatment and support.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care
