Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a days shift in Lewiston, Maine. The role covers direct infusion care, chemotherapy administration, and patient education within the Oncology department.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, with at least one year of Oncology RN experience. The assignment is 12 weeks long and offers weekly pay with supportive, award-winning hospital partners across the nation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain.
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
