Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine seeks an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide direct care in an infusion setting. You will administer chemotherapy and related therapies, assess patients, and educate families on treatment plans and symptom management.

Role requires RN licensure, BLS/ACLS on hire, and at least 1 year of oncology experience. Shifts are days, for a 12-week assignment with competitive per-shift pay and strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license.
BLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
ACLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
Minimum of one year RN Oncology experience.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
