Job summary

Confidential in Lewiston, Maine is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide direct oncology infusion care in a fast-paced setting. The role includes administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.

You will perform patient assessments, monitor treatment response and side effects, educate patients and families on treatment plans and medications, and ensure safety and HIPAA compliance. Shifts available: Days; 12-week assignment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) on hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
