Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an Infusion Center Registered Nurse for the Melchiorre Cancer Center Infusion Center in New Jersey. The role focuses on administering chemotherapy, managing vascular access, and delivering patient-centered oncology care.

You will work 9.5-hour day shifts, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and support families throughout treatment. The ideal candidate holds an NJ RN license (BSN preferred) with BLS and IV certifications, plus oncology

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program with NJ RN license.
• BSN preferred; current or in-progress.
• BLS certification required or within 90 days of hire.
• IV certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification preferred or required for chemo.
• OCN certification not required but CE credits annually recommended.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy per protocols.
• Maintain vascular access and central line care.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop plans of care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment and side effects.
• Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary team; assist with discharge planning.
• Recognize emergencies and respond to changes in patient condition.
