Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Adult Infusion unit on a Per Diem basis at the Morris Cancer Center. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, safe administration of chemotherapy and supportive care, collaboration with physicians and advanced providers, and clear patient education.

A NJ RN license and BLS are required, with Oncology experience and EPIC EMR familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Experience in hospital oncology care and chemotherapy handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and provide hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families for continuity post-discharge.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Support a collaborative team environment and ongoing professional growth.
