Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's Outpatient Infusion Center at Trinitas Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Day shift RN to deliver chemotherapy and related infusion therapies in a collaborative oncology setting. You will work with physicians, pharmacists, and a multidisciplinary team to support patients through their treatment journey.

The role requires an active NJ RN license in good standing and current AHA BLS certification.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing and current AHA BLS certification.
Associate Degree in Nursing is required; BSN is preferred.
Oncology nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and coordinate individualized plans of care for patients receiving oncology and infusion therapies.
Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, iron infusions, IV hydration, non-chemotherapy infusions, blood transfusions, and other prescribed infusion treatments.
Monitor patients throughout treatment, recognize changes in condition, manage infusion-related reactions, and respond to clinical concerns.
Provide care and assessment of venous access devices while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Deliver education to patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, symptom management, side effects, and self-care after infusion therapy.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and the oncology team to coordinate patient-centered care.
Conduct telephone triage, assess patient concerns, and provide clinical guidance to support treatment continuity.
Coordinate multiple appointments and ensure efficient patient flow and continuity.
