Job summary
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for Oncology Infusion at Newton/Hackettstown Medical Centers. This full-time daytime role (8 AM - 4 PM) provides infusion therapies, monitors patients, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality cancer care.
The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited nursing program, holds an active RN license in NJ, and has BLS and ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification; BSN and oncology experience are preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program and a current RN license.
- BLS certification and ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required.
- Oncology-based certification (OCN) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
- Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
- Assists with chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as certified.
- Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans with the team.
- Educates patients and families about treatment and care.
