Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. This 1.0 FTE, 40-hour weekly role focuses on patient-centered assessment, planning, and care delivery within infusion and oncology settings.

The RN will educate patients and families, coordinate with experts, and apply evidence-based practice while contributing to ongoing quality improvement and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• WA state RN license or multistate license (MSL) required.
• Oncology experience or training provided as needed.
• Current BLS certificate with renewal every two years.
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and modify plans of care based on disease, symptoms, and response.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, and symptom management.
• Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy and blood products as prescribed.
