Job summary

Endeavor Health's Northwest Community Hospital Infusion Center in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse to join our full-time team. You will provide safe, compassionate care in a fast-paced infusion setting, build trust with patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage complex cancer treatment plans.

Responsibilities include developing and revising plans of care, assessing patient progress, delivering patient education, and supporting staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
• 1 year RN experience required; oncology/infusion experience preferred.
• Current Illinois RN licensure required.
• BLS/CPR by American Heart Association required.
• OCN/ONS certification required or willing to obtain certification and enroll in approved course.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care identifying interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Evaluates patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes and revises plans as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family, respecting patient wishes and perceptions.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment.
• Provides teaching on disease management, emergency care and drug information when appropriate.
• Assists with injections, venipuncture, and administration of drugs, oxygen therapy, and IV management.
