Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking an experienced Oncology Infusion Nurse for our Northwest Community Hospital Infusion Center in Arlington Heights. You will deliver safe, compassionate care, plan and evaluate patient care, and collaborate with the care team to support optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, patient education, and coordination with physicians to ensure patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced infusion setting. Oncology experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing, required.
• Experience: 1 year of RN experience, required. 1 year oncology/infusion nursing experience, preferred.
• Certification: BLS/CPR issued by American Heart Association, required.
• OCN/ONS certification, required, or candidates must be willing to obtain OCN/ONS certification and enroll in an approved certification course.
• Certification reimbursement is available to both full-time and part-time employees.
• License: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse Licensure, required.

Responsibilities

• Develops a plan of care that identifies interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Evaluates patient's progress toward attainment of outcomes, revising diagnoses and interventions as needed.
• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Communicates plan of care to patient and family and to the physician and interdisciplinary team as indicated.
• Documents patient health data, interventions and communications.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on thorough assessment.
• Provides teaching on disease management strategies and drug information when appropriate.
• Identifies community resources to support patient self-management.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and nursing research.
• Assists in daily rounds of wound/ostomy/skin care if skilled.
