Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to provide age-appropriate, compassionate care under supervision of the Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or the Physician in inpatient settings.

The NST supports activities of daily living, patient advocacy, and teaching, and may perform basic and advanced tasks as competency validates. Cross-training as safety monitor or unit clerk is possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• One of: Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification; PCT Certificate; Basic Nursing Fundamental Course completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care in inpatient settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and nourishments.
• Collect information, communicate effectively, and utilize technology.
• Perform tasks and therapies as delegated by a licensed professional; participate in advocacy, teaching, and quality improvement.
• Cross-train as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk as needed.
