Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to work under RN/LPN supervision in inpatient settings. The NST delivers age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care, assists with daily living activities, and provides comfort and nourishments while maintaining a safe environment.

The role includes advocacy, teaching, and participation in performance improvement, with cross-training opportunities as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• One of: Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification, PCT certificate, or completion of Basic Nursing Fundamentals Course.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living and provide comfort measures.
• Maintain a safe environment and communicate effectively with the care team.
• May be cross-trained as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk as needed.
