Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to support licensed nurses in inpatient units. You will provide personal care, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, caring environment.

Under supervision, NSTs perform basic and advanced tasks as competency allows, participate in teaching and quality improvement, and may cross-train as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification or PCT Program or Basic Nursing Fundamentals Course completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care in inpatient settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living, provide comfort measures and nourishments.
• Perform selected tasks and therapies as delegated by a licensed professional.
• Patient advocacy, teaching, and participation in performance improvement.
