Job summary
Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to support nursing teams under supervision of RNs and LPNs. The NST provides age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care, assists with activities of daily living, and ensures a safe and caring environment.
This role emphasizes communication, patient advocacy, and teamwork, with opportunities for cross-training as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- BLS Certification required or equivalent.
- Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification required.
- PCT program certificate required.
- Course completion in Basic Nursing Fundamentals from an accredited School of Nursing is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care.
- Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
- Maintain a safe care environment and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Perform tasks and therapies as delegated by licensed professionals.
- May be cross-trained as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk.
