Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Float Pool at the New Brunswick campus. This night-shift role covers multiple units, delivering high-quality care across oncology and related services within a Magnet-designated system.
Ideal candidates hold an ASN/ Nursing Diploma, with 2–3 years in Medical Surgical/Oncology, and may pursue a BSN within 5 years. Strong communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency are required.
Qualifications
- ASN or Nursing Diploma required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- BSN preferred or must be completed within 5 years.
- 2–3 years of Medical Surgical/Oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care per Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
- Ensure patient safety and apply evidence-based practices.
- Report safety issues and medical errors.
- Know the patient population served.
- Supervise and direct delegation to team members.
- Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan care.
