St. Luke's University Health Network seeks an Oncology Finance Advocate to support the cancer center's financial counseling and advocacy programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an acute care oncology setting.
  • Two years of oncology finance experience in financial counseling, grants, and foundations.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid application process and insurance navigation.

Responsibilities

  • Outreach to all new patients via infusion and radiation DAR, explaining financial support options.
  • Assist patients and families in exploring financial assistance programs and options.
  • Assist with optimizing insurance coverage and Medicaid/Marketplace enrollment navigation.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and run RTE checks.
  • Coordinate with billing and social work teams to ensure timely payment posting and funding.
  • Refer patients to third-party support funds and foundation programs.
