Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years in healthcare financial counseling, patient access, or medical billing.
• Experience with pre-certification and/or prior authorization.
• Knowledge of patient assistance programs and grant services processes.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and coordinate pre-certification and authorizations for patients.
• Provide patient financial counseling and explain estimates, payment plans, and assistance options.
• Assist with patient assistance programs and grant applications to secure financial aid.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant communication with patients and care teams.
• Monitor aging balances and coordinate with external organizations to resolve balances.
