Navista is seeking a Coordinator of Financial Counseling to support patients and providers with financial clearance, education, and risk assessment before services. Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a healthcare business office or revenue cycle role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of insurance and benefits and patient Financial Assistance Programs.
• Strong understanding of oncology treatment pathways.
• Familiarity with high-cost oncology drugs, infusion services and specialty pharmacy billing preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience with billing systems and interpreting EOBs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple systems with minimal direction from supervisor(s) and leadership.
• Critical thinking and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Review daily schedules to identify patients requiring financial clearance.
• Educate patients on expected financial responsibility, including deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.
• Provide clear communication regarding treatment costs and payment expectations prior to services.
• Assist patients in understanding their financial obligations prior to services.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to reduce the risk of claim denials.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all financial discussions.
• Protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to support revenue cycle processes.
• Support additional duties and projects as assigned.
