Job summary

Merck USA is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to join our field-based team in Oklahoma City. You will engage with customers to address needs, educate stakeholders about our oncology products, and work to achieve sales goals within your territory.

Travel up to 50% is required; you must reside in the district and maintain strong relationships with physicians, nurses, and care teams. You will apply patient-centered messaging and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to optimize access

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of sales experience OR high school with 10+ years' equivalent.
• 2+ years oncology field-based sales experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
• Must reside within the district.

Responsibilities

• Hit or exceed sales goals for the territory.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Communicate patient-centered rationale for oncology products.
• Understand tumor types, treatment options, and care pathways.
• Analyze buying environment and identify patterns across channels.
• Review product purchase and prescription patterns (outpatient vs inpatient).
• Develop and execute short- and long-term plans with the Oncology Customer Team Leader.
• Ask insightful questions to understand customer priorities and needs.
• Maintain consistent customer experience across divisions with cross-functional teams.
