Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to drive growth in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma - North Texas territory. This field-based role requires building strong customer relationships, educating stakeholders about oncology products, and achieving sales goals while navigating complex market dynamics.

The role involves travel, overnight stays as needed, and residence within the district. A valid driver's license is required, and the candidate should reside within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of sales experience or a high school diploma with 10 years of equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling an oncology therapeutic to oncology customers.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed sales goals for the geography.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and understand practice structures and business models.
• Communicate patient-centered rationale for oncology products to stakeholders.
• Understand cancer treatment pathways and impact on patients.
• Analyze buying environment and patterns across distribution channels.
• Collaborate with local team to develop and execute short- and long-term plans.
