Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based payer access specialist to educate healthcare providers within a defined territory on patient support programs, reimbursement tools, and access options. The role focuses on local and regional payer policies, helping providers navigate claims, coding and coverage decisions.

You will collaborate with oncology stakeholders, build provider relationships, and stay current on reimbursement trends affecting AbbVie products across multiple care settings.

Qualifications

• Oncology/hematology-oncology experience preferred.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing and reimbursement processes.
• Strong communication of payer policies across settings.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on product access options like specialty networks and distribution.
• Educate on resources to address access issues.
• Provide local insights on payer policies to educate providers on claims and submissions.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish relationships with providers within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement and policy activities.
