Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Access & Reimbursement Specialist to educate healthcare professionals on patient support programs, payer processes, and reimbursement options within a multi-state territory. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to address access challenges and gatekeeping across oncology products.

The role requires experience with payer policies and credentialing, and enables close interaction with providers, payers, and cross-functional teams across affected states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience in access and reimbursement preferred (5+ years)
• Ability to communicate payer processes to providers
• Knowledge of HCIR credentialing requirements
• Strong territory management skills

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs, access options, and reimbursement tools
• Educate on product acquisition, access options, and white-bagging support
• Provide local expertise on payer policies and claims submission processes
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and account teams
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers within territory
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities
• Ensure HCIR credentialing requirements are met and maintained
