Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based access and reimbursement professional to educate HCPs on patient support programs, acquisition options, and payer policies. You will collaborate with oncology teams to manage key accounts, report payer trends, and maintain provider relationships within the territory.

Ideal candidates have oncology-related experience, strong reimbursement knowledge, and the ability to navigate HCIR credentialing.

Qualifications

• Oncology/hematology-oncology exposure preferred including physician-administered therapies and reimbursement models.
• Experience with coverage, coding, billing, and appeals processes across payers.
• Strong ability to explain complex billing requirements to diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Parts A-D/Medicare and reimbursement dynamics.
• Must meet HCIR credentialing and licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educate health care professionals on patient support programs, access tools, and services.
• Educate on acquisition and access options (specialty pharmacy networks, distribution, white-bagging).
• Educate on resources to address access issues for patients.
• Provide local expertise on payor policies to educate providers on payer issues and submissions.
• Collaborate with oncology internal stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish and maintain provider relationships within the territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
