Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based specialist to educate HCPs on patient support programs, access options, and payer policies. The role covers Indianapolis, IN and Detroit, MI, with compensation tied to experience.

You will collaborate with Oncology teams to address payer trends and build provider relationships across the territory. A Bachelor's degree and HCIR credentialing are required, with a strong focus on reimbursement and account management.

Qualifications

• Oncology/Heme experience preferred, including physician-administered therapies and reimbursement.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing, and payer policies.
• Ability to communicate billing requirements at national/regional levels.
• Understanding of Parts A-D or Medicare reimbursement dynamics.
• Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain access to facilities.
• Excellent territory/account management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on acquisition and access options including specialty networks and white-bagging.
• Provide resources for addressing access issues.
• Share payer policy updates and appropriate claims submission processes.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Build and maintain provider relationships within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
