Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based professional to educate providers on patient support programs, access options, and payer policies within a defined territory. The role emphasizes oncology experience and reimbursement expertise to support national and regional payor dynamics.

The candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders, manage key accounts, and stay current on coverage changes, coding requirements, and credentialing needs across the territory.

Qualifications

• Experience with physician-administered therapies and complex access models.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, and payer policies.
• Ability to communicate coding/billing at national and regional levels.
• Understanding Medicare Parts A–D and related reimbursement dynamics.
• Satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain credentials.
• Excellent territory and account management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on product-specific acquisition and access options such as specialty networks.
• Provide local expertise on payor policies to educate providers on payer issues and claims.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC account management teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers within territory.
• Remain current on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
