Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based professional to educate healthcare providers on patient support programs, access options, and reimbursement strategies within a defined US territory. The role involves collaborating with Oncology teams, understanding payer dynamics, and establishing provider relationships to optimize patient access.

Qualifications

• Onc/hematology-oncology experience preferred; familiarity with buy-and-bill, specialty distribution, and reimbursement models.
• Understanding of coverage, coding, billing, reimbursement, and patient support operations.
• Ability to communicate complex payer and policy concepts at national/regional levels.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and access tools.
• Educate on acquisition and access options including specialty networks and white-bagging.
• Provide local expertise on payor policies to educate providers on payer issues and claims submission.
• Collaborate with oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish and maintain relationships with providers within the territory.
• Keep up to date on managed care, reimbursement, and policy activities.
