Job summary

AbbVie, a global biopharmaceutical leader, seeks a field-based professional to educate healthcare providers about patient support programs and access options. Candidates should reside within a reasonable distance from the primary cities of Boston, MA and Albany, NY, with travel as needed.

You will collaborate with Oncology teams, stay current on payer policies, and build relationships with providers across your territory while supporting access and reimbursement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Oncology or hematology-oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of coverage, coding, billing, and reimbursement processes.
• Experience communicating payer requirements to providers.
• Knowledge of Medicare Parts A-D and related reimbursement dynamics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain HCIR credentials.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement options.
• Educate on acquisition options like specialty pharmacy networks and white-bagging.
• Provide local payer policy expertise to educate providers on claims submission and coding.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Monitor payer trends and report to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish relationships with providers within the territory.
• Stay current on managed care and policy activities.
