Job summary

Northwest Georgia Oncology, an outpatient oncology center, is seeking an Oncology & Chemotherapy Nurse Educator (RN) to serve as a dedicated clinical resource for patients throughout their treatment journey.

The role includes delivering chemotherapy and immunotherapy education before treatment, ongoing symptom assessment, and coordinating care with the oncology team to improve safety and adherence.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience; oncology, infusion, triage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive chemotherapy and immunotherapy education prior to treatment initiation.
• Conduct ongoing symptom assessment and triage.
• Coordinate supportive care interventions and timely communication between patients and oncology care team.
• Serve as liaison between patients, physicians, APPs, infusion services, pharmacy and ancillary departments to promote safety and adherence.
