Job summary
Carle Health is seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist to deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical care to oncology patients within a multidisciplinary setting. You will serve as a clinical expert supporting specialty care across Oncology and related departments and participate in clinical trials preparation and patient education.
The role emphasizes direct patient care, dosing optimization, and collaboration with hematology/oncology teams, with opportunities to contribute to policy development
Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist required by IDFPR/State license.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required.
- Clinical work experience in oncology or hospital setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct patient care and optimize prescribing, administration, and monitoring for oncology patients.
- Provide MTM services and patient education as per regulatory acts.
- Determine dosing based on patient age, weight, and organ function.
- Collaborate with hematology/oncology and inpatient pharmacy teams for inpatient and outpatient care.
- Prepare investigational and standard chemotherapy safely for trials.
- Attend rounds and contribute to interdisciplinary care at Carle Foundation Hospital.
- Support transitions of care and training of staff and students.
- Develop and promote oncology-specific pharmacy policies and safety initiatives.
