Job summary

Medasource seeks a Clinical Pharmacist, Oncology in Massachusetts to provide specialized pharmaceutical care for oncology patients. You will interpret and verify medication orders, dispense medications, review orders from staff, and support prescribers to ensure safe, effective therapy.

You will educate patients and caregivers on oncology treatments and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The role also supervises pharmacy support staff to ensure accurate preparation and distribution

Qualifications

• Three to four years of pharmacist experience preferred, hospital-based oncology pharmacy experience highly preferred.
• Current license and registration by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy.
• Analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources and summarize data to solve problems.
• Strong communication and writing skills to address issues and educate patients and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate medication orders to ensure appropriate drug and dosage and contact physicians when needed.
• Review, fill, and dispense physician orders; verify products prepared by staff.
• Check orders prepared by support personnel for accuracy and labeling.
