Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Minimum 2 years experience clerical, customer service, or related experience such as medical office or administrative services Required
• At least 1 year experience Completion of a unit clerk, medical office, general clerical, customer service training or equivalent education may be utilized in lieu of experience (documentation required) Required

Responsibilities

• Greets patients upon arrival and completes/verifies registration information.
• Verifies patient identity and address; ensures benefit verification for current service date.
• Collects co-pays and any self-pay balances; provides receipts and enters data into system.
• Notifies clinical staff by updating the system as 'checked in' and assists with scheduling as needed.
• Performs check-out duties, schedules follow-ups, and assists with referrals as directed.
• Maintains HIPAA/compliance and confidential handling of patient information.
