Job summary

American Oncology Network in Missouri seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist physicians in patient care and teaching within an oncology setting.

You will participate in multi-disciplinary rounds, manage prescriptions, evaluate tests, determine trial eligibility, and support hospital rounds and on-call coverage. This role requires strong collaboration across multiple sites and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• NP or PA graduate with master’s degree.
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state.
• Prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 5 years experience as APRN/PA in Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and psychosocial status of patients.
• Write prescriptions for medications, blood products, and follow-up studies.
• Determine eligibility for entry into clinical trials.
• Interpret and evaluate study results and tests.
• Provide on-call coverage and participate in rounds.
• Document care accurately and timely in records.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff across sites.
