Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist physicians in patient care and teaching. The role includes multi-disciplinary rounds, on-call coverage, and participation in clinical trials across Messino Cancer Centers in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Master’s degree required.
• APRn or PA license in appropriate state with prescriptive privileges.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 5 years experience as APRN or PA in Oncology.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physical and psychosocial status of patients.
• Write prescriptions and manage medications and tests.
• Assess eligibility for entry into clinical trials.
• Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds.
• Provide on-call coverage and hospital rounds as needed.
• Document care accurately using forms and records.
