American Oncology Network, Inc. seeks an experienced APRN or PA to support physicians in caring for oncology patients in the Greater Washington area. The role involves teaching and collaborating in a fast-paced, multi-site oncology team.

The position requires a Master’s degree, an applicable state APRN/PA license with prescriptive privileges (or eligibility), an ANCC/ONS certification and current BLS. Travel is less than 25% and standard clinic hours apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program; Master’s degree required.
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state with prescriptive privileges or eligible.
• Current ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P) certification and current BLS.

Responsabilités

• Assist physician in patient care and teaching.
• Assess patient status via history, exam, and diagnostics.
• Write prescriptions and manage medications per protocols.
• Explain care plans and treatment results to patients and referring physicians.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and on-call coverage.
• Document and report care accurately in medical records.
• Promote confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
