Job summary

American Oncology Network is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to assist physicians in patient care and teaching within an oncology setting. The role involves patient assessment, treatment planning, and performance of clinical duties at multiple locations.

Responsibilities include conducting rounds, determining trial eligibility, documenting visits, and participating in on-call coverage. A Master’s degree and appropriate licensure with prescriptive privileges are required,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant program. Master’s degree required.
• APRN or PA license in appropriate state; prescriptive privileges or eligible to apply.
• Current certification from ANCC or ONS (AOCN-P); BLS.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and psychosocial status of patients.
• Write prescriptions and coordinate care per protocols.
• Determine eligibility for clinical trials.
• Conduct rounds and participate in multidisciplinary care.
• Provide on-call coverage and hospital rounds as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient privacy under HIPAA.
