Job summary

Doubletree by Hilton Colorado Springs is seeking a friendly banquet server to help deliver exceptional guest experiences at our events. You will serve food and drinks, clear plates, and respond to guest requests with a smile, coordinating with banquet captains and kitchen staff.

Ideal candidates have experience in food service or hospitality, a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and time-management skills, and a team-first attitude.

Job description

Are you passionate about customer service and willing to ensure guests have a great experience at our special events? If so, you would be an outstanding banquet server on our busy events team. We need someone welcoming and attentive to serve food and drinks to guests, clear plates and silverware, and make sure any special guest needs or requests are taken care of. Our banquet servers need to have a team‑first approach since you'll be working closely with other servers, banquet captains, and kitchen staff to ensure events run smoothly. Ideally, our next banquet server has experience in food service or hospitality. If this describes you, please apply as soon as possible!

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving drinks by carrying coffee pots, water pitchers throughout the room, refilling guests' cups and glasses as needed
• Take away plates from the table, replace utensils, and keep an eye out for spills or other special requests from guests
• Review relevant food handling safety regulations to ensure that you and your team are following them
• Offer an outstanding guest experience from the beginning to the end of each banquet event
• Serve appetizers, main course meals, desserts, and other items, such as drinks, to banquet guests

Qualifications

• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
• Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with guests and other team members
• We prefer some experience working in the food service industry

Compensation

$17 - $20 hourly
