Job summary

Upstate Caring Partners is seeking a Programmatic Training Specialist in Utica, NY. The role focuses on onboarding new hires, on-site coaching, and evaluating training effectiveness to boost workplace performance aligned with our mission and values.

You will organize orientation sessions, manage training records, and deliver diverse instructional methods across shifts. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in adult education are required, with travel and a NY driver’s license expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, HR or related field.
• Minimum of three years' experience in adult education or orientation coordination.
• Proficiency in computer programs (windows, outlook, adobe, word, excel).

Responsibilities

• Organize and facilitate orientation sessions for new hires.
• Serve as point of contact for orientation for new staff and trainers.
• Assist in maintaining the training database for all Agency trainings.
• Assist in scanning training records.
• Direct structured learning experiences in program.
• Plan, organize, and implement a range of training activities.
• Schedule classes based on classroom, equipment, and instructor availability.
• Present information using various instructional techniques (role plays, simulations, lectures).
• Train and coach new hires and existing employees.
• Conduct orientation sessions to assess skill levels.
• Shadow new hires on shifts to assess progress.
• Help staff improve existing skills within the program.
• Train and develop managers in coaching skills.
• Assist management in training staff on key competencies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record training activities.
• Create simulations and problem-solving scenarios.
• Evaluate training materials and suggest improvements.
