Edwards Electrical & Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an HR support professional to coordinate onboarding activities and ensure smooth pre-employment processing in a fast-paced environment in Indianapolis.

You will manage Workday-based tasks, such as offer letters, background checks, drug screens, and new-hire IT equipment requests. The role emphasizes attention to detail, confidentiality, and dependable follow-through, with exposure to onboarding workflows and pre-employment compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR support, onboarding or recruiting coordination is preferred.
• Experience with pre-employment procedures (background checks, drug screens) is preferred.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Extend offer letters in Workday.
• Send background check and drug screening forms.
• Review background check and drug screening results.
• Set up pre-work screens.
• Run motor vehicle record checks when needed.
• Submit IT requests for new hire equipment.
• Follow up with candidates on paperwork.
• Complete Hire process in Workday when status is hire.
• Create badges for new hires.
