Job summary

MEPX, formerly known as Edwards Electrical & Mechanical, is seeking an HR Assistant in Indianapolis to support offer letters, pre-employment screening, candidate paperwork, and Workday hiring activities.

This temporary hourly role offers $33 per hour, a full benefits package, and exposure to HR onboarding processes, with duties including background checks, equipment requests, and new-hire badge creation.

Responsibilities

• Extend offer letters in Workday.
• Send background check and drug screening authorization forms.
• Review completed background check and drug screening results.
• Set up pre-work screens.
• Run motor vehicle record checks when needed.
• Submit IT requests for equipment needed by new hires.
• Follow up with candidates to ensure they stay on top of required paperwork.
• Once background and drug screening results return with a “hire” status, complete the hiring process in Workday.
• Create badges for new hires.
