Job summary

Child & Family Services seeks an Onboarding & Credentialing Coordinator to support the Human Resources team by coordinating onboarding, credentialing, and training-related processes for staff. This full-time role ensures new hires and current employees feel prepared and supported in their roles.

Responsibilities include managing offer letters and background checks, CEU processing, orientation materials, personnel files, and collaboration with billing/insurance for credentialing updates.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with new hires to collect required paperwork and information while providing a welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Send contingent and official offer letters to candidates.
  • Conduct thorough background checks including criminal history, employment verification, and education verification; follow up per guidelines.
  • Assist Training Manager with CEU processing and training compliance.
  • Prepare new hire orientation materials to ensure a successful start for staff.
  • Create and maintain new employee personnel files.
  • Assist HR leadership with Agency compliance requirements.
  • Administer referral and sign-on bonus processes.
  • Assist clinical staff with credentialing applications, CAQH profiles and renewals.
  • Maintain credentialing files/spreadsheets and submission of credentialing applications.

Job description

The Onboarding & Credentialing Coordinator supports the Human Resources department by coordinating employee onboarding, credentialing, and training-related processes that help new and current employees feel prepared, informed, and supported in their roles. This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Administrative
  • Communicate with new hires to collect required paperwork and information while providing a welcoming, clear, and supportive onboarding experience.
  • Send contingent and official offer letters to candidates.
  • Conduct thorough background checks on potential candidates, including criminal history, employment verification, education verification, and other relevant checks. Conduct follow up checks per Agency guidelines.
  • Support the Training Manager with both continuing education unit (CEU) processing and training compliance.
  • Prepare new hire orientation materials to ensure new staff are provided a successful start.
  • Create and maintain new employee personnel files.
  • Assist HR leadership with Agency compliance requirements.
  • Administer referral and sign-on bonus processes.
Credentialing
  • Assist clinical staff with completion of credentialing applications, CAQH profiles and credentialing renewals.
  • Maintain credentialing files/spreadsheets and submission of credentialing applications for clinical staff.
  • Communicate with insurance contacts regularly for updates on applications and credentialing status of clinical staff.
  • Maintain, monitor and submit insurance credentialing rosters.
  • Work collaboratively with the billing department to ensure credentialing process is up-to-date and clinical staff are credentialed with appropriate insurance companies.
