Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Talent Acquisition Compliance Associate for a 6-month hybrid contract in Illinois. You will manage background checks, partner with Compliance Leads, Recruiters, and Legal, and help ensure processes meet policy and legal standards.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and experience in high-volume recruiting or HR operations. This position supports training updates and hire eligibility tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required.
• 1–2 years of experience in recruiting, HR operations, or compliance environment.
• Experience with background check vendors (First Advantage preferred).
• Experience validating and reviewing documentation for completeness & compliance.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced role requiring multitasking and organization.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems; SmartRecruiters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the background check process for a high volume of requisitions across functions using the ATS and vendor workflow.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for background check questions and issue resolution from recruiters, candidates, and stakeholders.
• Monitor background check status, follow up on outstanding items, and ensure timely completion to support hiring decisions.
• Review background check results and documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Validate candidate and vendor documentation to meet internal and external standards.
• Identify, document, and elevate background check exceptions or concerns as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records, process documentation, and reporting metrics related to background check activity.
• Maintain a positive candidate experience through clear communication and timely follow-up.
• Support updates to training materials and standard work related to background checks and compliance.
• Assist with hire eligibility review and other compliance-related administrative tasks.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws, policies, and applicant tracking requirements.
