Job summary
Viking is seeking an Assistant Systems Manager to support IT systems aboard our ocean vessels. You will assist the Systems Manager in maintaining all onboard IT hardware, cabling, networks, and software, while providing user training and frontline IT support to crew and guests.
The role requires a minimum of 1 year IT experience, a CS-related degree, fluent English, and strong admin skills. MXP experience is preferred; flexibility is essential for varying shifts and travel between ships.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of IT systems experience including end-user support.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
- Strong admin skills; MXP experience preferred.
- Proficient with PC databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
Responsibilities
- Provide general IT system support to all onboard departments.
- Maintain hardware, cabling, networks, and software on the ship.
- Train users and support guest-facing tech devices.
- Assist Systems Manager and respond to IT incidents during operations.
- Keep leadership informed of IT issues affecting ship operations.
